    2019 NFL Season

    The football season is here.

Watching Browns on a strong opening drive, good recovery from an unnecessary roughness call to make it in for the TD. But the rookie kicker has missed the extra point.

Anyone got any info on this conversation the commentators are having about the discussion about what makes a blindside changing this season?

I assume people are actually watching but just haven't replied....

    Nothing about Antonio Brown?

Nothing about the wheels coming off the Browns hype train?

or the Dolphins getting absolutely rinsed?

We are trying to ignore Brown because he is an attention whore.

Also, what can I like about this season. Only the Jets can have their #1 draft pick get fucking Mono and out for over a month, then the backup gets creamed and tears ligaments in his ankle and is gone for the season. Our two top defensive players are out.

Only the fucking Jets. SMH with a facepalm.

And to top it off, it looks like the fucking Patriots might make another run at 18-0. Only the Chiefs may stop them, but probably not, and the NFC? Please, Brees is out with thumb surgery, and the Cowboys...they choke under pressure as always.

Man, 49ers destroyed the Browns, still unbeaten. Maybe it's because I don't pay as much attention as a lot of people but I didn't see them being one of the last teams without a loss.

I do not think anyone did. What is surprising is how badly the Browns got beat.

2-3 is not what everyone predicted.

The real news about the Dolphins, Prime, is how their GM came out and publicly said they are intentionally tanking this season in order to "rebuild" with top draft picks. Absolutely despicable. I feel terrible for their fans. Bunch of rotten assholes running that organization.

Wow, I missed that. Isn't there some sort of rule against that? You'd be penalised for that in most (if not all) of our sports.

There isn't technically a rule against it in the NFL. Which is why so many people are up in arms over it. It's just an unspoken rule. I imagine after this they will make an official rule.

Where was that said publicly? All I can find, is that he said that they are not tanking. Public vs private comments are very different. I believe they are, but ...

Tell you what, the Giants have quietly gone from 2-2 to 2-6. That's a bad few weeks right there.

Poor showing for the Bengals in London, too. Not that anyone is surprised.

Meanwhile Pats and 49ers keep on rolling. Starting to see even more people getting on the Browns for the preseason hype now.

The Pats are rolling, but they also have a really easy schedule.

    Ravens turned 'em over.

Meanwhile, Beckham and Landry told to change their cleats if they want to play. Seems to me wearing clown cleats when your team are having the season they are is just asking for trouble....

Patriots are notoriously weaker on the road against LOUD crowds. And Patriots only true weakness on defense is super mobile QBs. Ravens just had the perfect storm. If they have a rematch in the playoffs, it will most likely be in New England. Patriots will win.

That Myles Garrett helmet hit was despicable. 8 seconds left in the game, your team is up 2 touchdowns, you are the best defensive player on a team that is on a winning streak for once. And you decide to rip someones helmet off and beat them in the face with it. He's suspended indefinitely, bare minimum rest of the season counting playoffs (Ha!). If I were the commisioner I'd suspend him for at least 10 games total to make an example.

Does not matter what led up to it either. Steelers QB kicked him in the groin as Garrett was ripping his helmet forcefully off his head- self defense. Even if the QB tried to take his helmet off first, it was because you dragged him down and layed on top of him, taunting him.

Honestly, I'd suspend Steelers QB for 2-3 games. Other Cleveland defensive player 2-3 games for knocking Steelers QB down while he had no helmet on. Steelers linemen 3-4 games for attacking Garrett (including kicking Garrett in the head while his helmet was on), and Garrett I'd suspend for 12 games w/out pay, and demand he successfully pass an anger management course in order to be reinstated after the 12 games. Plus over a million in fines between them. I'd fine Garrett a million alone, that helmet shot could have caused major damage. If NFL don't come down hard on this situation, it gives players the green light to act like douchebags on the field.
