It was clearly not intentional, but Bryan actually called himself Superstar B...a B+ player.

So the two big rumours are that a) Bryan is moving to RAW, or b) Bryan is injured and will be off TV for the foreseeable.

I'm guessing a move to RAW, but doesn't wrestle for a bit b/c of injury.

I'm all for Bryan moving to Raw and challenging Rollins, but this can't be yet another Shake Up where Smackdown comes out significantly diminished, like in 2017. I think he probably needs to stay on Smackdown, and either get his rematch or sidle off into a feud with The Miz (finally - and with the roles flipped)

What is his injury, do we know? I'm assuming that if we don't know, it might be concussion related. Which if that's the case, might be very bad.

I thought it was a knee or is that AJ?

AJ's was his hip. They haven't said what Bryan's injury is, just that he's expected out for months.

Let's hope it is not his head. If he has another concussion, then I cannot see the WWE ever clearing him again.

So I haven't heard from a true source yet, but I have heard Bryan had a concussion and Vince might pull the plug on him. This would suck balls.

  11. #211
Strange that he always seems to get injured around Mania time....

  12. #212
Hope not, he's still the best thing going today

Does Vince get the option of though? I assumed Brie would have the right to pull the plug, given she's his wife.

Serious talk though - this is a real downer. Bryan had just started to do the best character work of his career with this gimmick, and was right in the middle of it. I know they assess him after every match he's in, so if true can only assume he picked it up in the Mania match. Really sucks - the worst thing is that we know from the past it doesn't have to be a direct hit to the head. The one Punk has spoken on getting in the Rumble match before he left was from him landing off a leaping clothesline from, curiously enough, Kofi Kingston.

Saw a clip of Kofi stomping on Bryan's head pretty hard in their 'Mania match. Hope he comes out alright, Bryan seems like he's good to take any risk for his craft but really hoping he (or someone) puts their foot down about avoiding those kind of impacts to the head, all things considered.

  16. #216
I like Bryan and all, but he probably should have stayed away from the ring after his second post mania injury. He seems like a big liability and accident prone :/

The head stomp thing is a Bryan spot, and more than likely his idea. He risked it all for this match and I wish he didn't.

Oh I haven't a single doubt that Bryan is the one pushing to take more risks. The thing is he's so good he doesn't really need to and I wish he'd stop.

Can't agree that Bryan shouldn't have come back to the ring though, this run has been phenomenal, especially since the heel turn. Hope whatever's going on with him isn't so serious that he doesn't get a couple more good years in before hanging it up for good.

Here's the thing, Bryan went above and beyond to get cleared. I don't think he would quit if there was any chance of him being able to get medically cleared. It might not even be head related though. It could be in some ways more serious or they don't even know yet. Remember, Bryan has taken all kinds of bumps thru his career. It could be anything..

Until we know for certain, i'm not speculating too much.

How about Daniel Bryan being the best thing for the tag team division, huh?

But speaking of jokes and speaking of the tag team division, think of The Usos, right? What were they doing on RAW last night? Joking around as if the tag team division is some sort of joke. And what about Heavy Machinery? Joking around as if the tag team division is some sort of joke. And what about The New Day? Joking around like being the tag team champions is some sort of joke.

You know, they talk about a women’s evolution, about women main eventing WrestleMania. Do you know who’s never talked about main eventing WrestleMania? It’s the tag team division and do you know why? Because for years, they’ve been led by jokers like The New Day, like The Usos, like Heavy Machinery, and they go out there and they do Thanksgiving Turkey Fights, and they’ll do Halloween Contests. Do you know what? We are not those kind of tag team champions and speaking of which, do you know what? There’s going to be a tag team evolution and this isn’t going to be one dictated to us by The McMahons, no.

This is going to be self-led, a self-led tag team revolution because Kofi Kingston, The New Day, they never aspired to that, they never aspired to that level, neither did The Usos. They were content with just being great tag teams. We’re not content to just be great, we are going to be the greatest tag team of all time. We are going to main event WrestleMania as Tag Team Champions and we are going to aspire higher, and nobody, nobody is going to stop The Planet’s Tag Team Champions.
I'm really into he and Rowan being Smackdown tag champs.

The RAW Tag Champions were not on RAW either besides just being backstage when Foley was walking through.

  24. #224
You know who else wasn't on Smackdown?

    Rusev
    Nakamara
    Randy Orton
    Balor
    Lars Sullivan

This whole wildcard rule is making it so those who are almost never featured are seen even less.

They did post a great Bryan promo that he did Sunday after his match with the Usos.

I don't think we'll see Bryan much til after the Saudi show cause he's not going to that.

In no way will I ever claim Teddy Hart to be a perfect human being and I'll definitely never claim he wasn't the first two things you mentioned. But it's well documented that he trains the cats he brings out everywhere and those rape allegations never even made it to a trial because an investigation revealed they didn't happen (and believe me; I'd be the first one telling you Teddy needed to be blackballed if there was even an ounce of truth to it). On top of that, everyone I know who has worked with him the last several years have indicated he's turned his life around for the better. So while I don't think Teddy should ever be the poster child for family friendly fun, I'm more than comfortable being a fan of his work. And he is legitimately one of the most talented guys I've ever seen.

I saw the tag match from Stomping Grounds again recently, and I really appreciate Daniel Bryan's selling. He knows that he has something about him that everyone is afraid for (his head) so he milks the shit out of it. He sells his head immediately every time something gets fucked up and it's really great.

Tucker's feet catch him in the shoulder, nowhere near the head, but he immediately grabs at his head and makes sure the camera sees it.

    That guys a real pro.

No reason to announce something that doesn’t have effect til after Summerslam. Can tease it while giving Bryan time off. One case where changing mind on when to do something is a good thing.

Kinda sucks though if Bryan isn’t on the card

Agreed, King (the lazy one). DB should be on the card, but I'm always going to be a fan of when any promotion holds off a star because they don't have anything strong enough to use him for. I think the tag division should still be on SSlam, and he could be in that match. But if he's moving on from that in some way, then it can wait.

Anyone else see Bryan making a little noise about wanting a big WWE match with CM Punk?

That would be great, but who would be the heel? If/when Punk returns he is a HUGE face, and Bryan just also recently turned back to face. I cannot see Bryan turning again.

Besides IF, and a huge IF, Punk returns the match will probably be against Rollins or HHH.

I mean it could work, but Rollins has been talking shit, and mentioning Punk's name on TV, and that seems like the most logical match, besides the obvious HHH vs Punk match.

BUT I would love a Bryan vs Punk at Mania match.

I'm thinking Daniel was just answering an interview question, so there's nothing to it.

BUT, if there was a way to convince Punk to lace up the boots again, Daniel might be the best way. I think Seth being his former ROH student makes a captivating story, and other factors as well. But I'm not Punk, so I don't know if there's an angle he'd prefer being a part of, and I wouldn't blame anyone, be it Seth, Bryan, or AEW, to throw some bait in the water and see what catches.

What obvious HHH match? Thatís pretty much the exact reason he walked out.
