    I forgot to include the title, didn't I? No use saying it could be more for people if you don't tell them how to find it. It's called John Caldigate, following that very Victorian convention of naming the book after the principle character.

    Haven't updated this for a while - I'll limit myself to just posting about the fiction I've read in the last month rather than giving the whole update with everything.

    Eudora Welty, Delta Wedding
    Saul Bellow, Henderson the Rain King
    Andrew Caldecott, Rotherweird

    And now about a third of the way into the most recent of Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next books, The Woman Who Died a Lot.

    Rotherweird might be one that some people would be interested in checking out. Somewhere in the various blurbs someone described it as 'Harry Potter for grown-ups' and that's about as good a description as anything I could come up with.
