I think that Dory wrestled elsewhere after his short WWF run.

EDIT: I have another idea if Sting is not correct.

It's neither Sting nor Dory Funk.

Any chance it was Giant Baba? I know that he was an NWA Champ, I think he owned a piece or all of a Japanese promotion, and I am not sure if he was in the WWF, but he wrestled Andre towards the end of both their careers when Andre was in the WWF.

Again it's good but not right.

Both of those two kept working after they worked for WWF. In Baba's case, for a long time.

Then I'm out, until another clue.

I can't think of another NWA champ that ended his career in the WWF.

Wait, one more guess....Jack Brisco? I always get him confused with Jerry.

    1. The only “Major Title” I held was a Tag team Championship for a major American Promotion.
    2. One of my nicknames was also used by a much more popular wrestler, who the name is synonymous with.
    3. While in the Major American Promotions, I was managed by three different, but equally well known managers.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landel? Clue 2 was screaming out for that guess...

While he shared nickname with Both Buddy Rogers and Ric Flair, Landel never won a title in a major American promotion.

Then the only other guess I have is Hacksaw Butch Reed?

That's Him. I thought the nickname clue was too easy. Got to go hard like Prime.

He won the WCW tag belts as part of Doom, and he was managed by Slick in WWF, Woman and Teddy Long in WCW.

    Cool.

    1. I am one of the few people to have a pinned Hulk Hogan on TV.
    2. I have wrestled for many major promotions, including WWF, AWA, NJPW, NWA, WCW, and just one match in ECW.
    3. I am a WWE Hall of Famer.

    1. I am a 9 time champion, but 8 championship runs with the top title.
    2. I am a Hall of Famer, and I retired with a title.
    3. I wrestled a total of 765 matches in my career, with 351 of them on TV or PPV.

Trish Stratus? Top Title being the Women's World Title?

    Nope, but good guess.

EDIT: Trish did retire with the title, but she is an 8 time champion not 9, 7 WWE Women's titles and 1 Hardcore title.

Might as well. I'm struggling to think of any 8 time 'top' champion who only ever had one other belt in their career, even before you factor in the other clues.

I know virtually nothing about reality TV and not much more about who is married to who, so I'm none the wiser, but hopefully this will help someone else...

Really? I thought this was common knowledge about me....

Clue 5: I am NOT a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Bonus Clue 6: I am one of a select few who eliminated myself in the Rumble.

It’s Gail Kim isn’t it? She fits most clues off the top of my head.

Not sure if it’s a typo, but the clue that tipped me off was eliminating herself and I think the wording above is factually incorrect - she eliminated herself famously (off script) in an all women’s battle royal, but I don’t think it was a rumble.

Yes it is Gail Kim, and yes, I misworded the Rumble when I meant Battle Royal. Well Done BK!

    1. I am a 9 time champion, but 8 championship runs with the top title.

1 time WWE Women's Champion, 8 time TNA/IMPACT Knockouts Champion, 1 time Knockouts Tag Champion

    2. I am a Hall of Famer, and I retired with a title.

Kim retired as the Knockouts Champion, and IMPACT Hall of Fame.

    3. I wrestled a total of 765 matches in my career, with 351 of them on TV or PPV.

Clue 4: I met my spouse filming a reality based show where we (wrestlers) were guest stars.

Kim met Robert Irvine, host of Dinner: Impossible, when the WWE sent wrestlers to go on the show and prepare a SummerSlam feast.

Clue 5: I am NOT a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kim is the first female to be inducted in the IMPACT Hall of Fame.

Bonus Clue 6: I am one of a select few who eliminated myself in the Rumble.

As stated, I meant Battle Royal.

I remember the way she walked out of that match in a huff!!

    Ok here we go:
    1. I have won the WWF/WWE tag straps three time with a different partner each time.
    2. I am a former NWA tag champ.
    3. I am a two sport athlete (one of which is wrestling).

If you consider NASCAR a sport, and not men driving in circles only making left turns for 4 hours, then Bob Holly.

Awww man...I suck at this. Powder is right. And for the record, I don’t consider NASCAR a sport, but thought it would add a nice wrinkle to the set of clues

    1. I am an 8 time WWE champion of 3 differently named titles.
    2. My first 2 matches in the WWE was against a multiple time WWE Champion.
    3. It could be argued that at one point of my career, a specific body part of mine was more over than I was at the time.

Thought for a minute this could be Rikishi (if you only count his singles matches) but don't think the titles work? I don't think he ever got to 8?
