    Not Santino either.

Original clues so you do not have to look back:

    1. During my early career I was a founding member of a stable, but it is NOT what I am known for.
    2. I have one of the best nicknames in wrestling ever - and as such was voted by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter for having best gimmick.
    3. I have won 4 singles titles in my career, but that is NOT what I am known for.

    Again...do we want another clue????

I mean, I think I know who it is; but I looked up the 'best gimmick' list so I figure I'm probably out at this point.....

    OK....

Clue 4. During a televised match, I inadvertently almost ended the career of my opponent, who later made a complete recovery and continued wrestling.

Yeah, I think that basically confirms it. But again, I kinda cheated so I'll refrain from answering.

Clue 5: I should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but family issues are what are keeping me out. (I'm not Owen Hart).

    YES.

    1. During my early career I was a founding member of a stable, but it is NOT what I am known for.

Steiner was a founding member of the Varsity Club

    2. I have one of the best nicknames in wrestling ever - and as such was voted by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter for having best gimmick.

Nickname: The Dog Faced Gremlin, couple that with his collegiate gimmick with the wrestling singlet and headgear and "dim witted-ness" he won Best Gimmick in 1988.

    3. I have won 4 singles titles in my career, but that is NOT what I am known for.

WCW US Title (1), WCW Television Title (3)

Completely known for being in a tag team with his brother Scott.

Clue 4. During a televised match, I inadvertently almost ended the career of my opponent, who later made a complete recovery and continued wrestling.

During a botched diving bulldog against Buff Bagwell, Bagwell's neck was broken and almost ended his career. I remember watching the match and saying that didn't look good, then the officials came into the ring....etc.

Clue 5: I should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but family issues are what are keeping me out. (I'm not Owen Hart).

The Steiner Brothers should be a no brainer for the WWE Hall of Fame, but obviously due to Scott's "issues" they may not get in while he is alive.

Gooner got it, as I say I read the best gimmick list. I wouldn't have got Steiner without it.

Yeah I got based off the gimmick and the injury clue.

    1. My dad is a former World Champion with one of the main promotions.
    2. I am a three time WCW Tag Team champion, each time with the same partner.
    3. My contract was one of the ones picked up by WWE after their purchase of WCW.

    1) I started out as an American football player and played for four teams.
    2) I held the United States heavyweight title five times
    3) I was trained by Dory Funk, won the Southwest tag titles with Terry, and often challenged Dory Jr. for the NWA World Title.

I cheated and looked this one up. Clue #1 is technically correct, but slightly mis-leading.

It's Wahoo, yes. Not quite sure I see how it's misleading myself - perhaps reading something into the clue that I didn't say?

    1. Was a constant presence on WCW Nitro for most of the Monday Night War.
    2. I only ever competed once in WWF, and that was a house show.
    3. I am a recognised 2 time World Champion with one of the major promotions (for clarity, one of WCW, ECW, TNA, WWF, NJPW)

Wouldn't have had an iota of a clue until you listed the titles at the end there, but that set something off in my head. Is it Scott Norton?

Oh it would have been. Was the inclusion of NJPW that set me on to him, without that I'd have been at a loss. Seemed a bit strange to include a Japanese title as a main title if it wasn't going to be someone who held the IWGP belt, but without that I'd have been all at sea.

    1. I have wrestled in WWE in 2018.
    2. I have won many titles in promotions across four different countries.
    3. I am the superstar with the highest number of RAW matches to have a losing record on the show.

I felt like I had to include a list of promotions otherwise it could have been seen as misleading.

    Mmm... Rey Mysterio?

Yeah, I see why you did. I'd have probably never thought of it and would have defaulted to AWA/WCW/WWF. I suppose adding Triple Crown for AJPW might have thrown me off the scent? As it is, I sort of just felt that it was going to be the NJPW, or it wouldn't have been mentioned.

    Not Rey, but good answer.

He was a member of five different teams, but he never actually played a game for the fifth team. So your clue was technically correct as worded.

If it's not Rey then I think it has to be Chris Jericho. US, Japan, Mexico... I suspect maybe Canada as well? Plu's he's put over more people than I can think, so he's bound to have a losing record..

I see the confusion, meandi. I honestly am not sure about that last team for Wahoo, and whether he was ever really a member of the side, or was traded and quit before he ever really joined up. Perhaps a grey area, although to be honest all of my clues are expected to be taken 'as worded' anyway....

And Gooner, you are right with Jericho. It's your turn, maaaan...

    I'll get my coat.

    OK:

    1. Following on from the previous challenge, I have won and lost the same amount of matches (124) on Raw, accurate as of 13/11/2018.
    2. I once ranked 2nd on the PWI 500 list.
    3. I have a 6-4 record at Wrestlemania.

    Ok. So my turn.

    1. I have amassed 23 championships in my career.
    2. My WrestleMania record is 4-11.
    3. My character is my biggest weakness, as I have been a dominant, heel and face, a comedy act, a sympathy act, and over my long career, I never have been consistent.

    Maybe too easy.

Only because of the last one, to be honest.

    OK one a bit tougher.

    1) I was one of only a handful of wrestlers to compete against Shawn Michaels on TV within six months of his famous Wrestlemania X ladder match.
    2) I was one half of the ROH tag champions.
    3) I competed on six ECW PPV's in 1999 and 2000, winning three times.

    Aldo Montoya/Justin Credible?

ROH has only been around since what? 2002/3? So who wrestled for the WWF in 1994 then ECW in 1999-2000, and then ROH? My guess is sound, but I do not think he was ever in ROH.

It's not him, no, but he did work for RoH briefly in the early days so it's a great opener.

The WWF clue is probably the hardest to get this one from, you'll likely need the other two.

Then the only other person who is old enough to have faced HBK on WWF TV in 1994 and I know who was ROH tag champ was Christopher Daniels. Everyone else is too young, A.J. styles is an elder statesman for ROH and he is not 40 yet, so he couldn’t have faced HBK in 1994 and everyone else is younger than Styles and Daniels.

    So Daniels.
