Let's see if my insomniac brain can come up with something trickier.

    1) My ring name contains a location.
    2) I hailed from a town that doesn't exist.
    3) I held a title twice, but both reigns combined didn't last ten days.

I'm stumped. My best guess is Perry Saturn, who won the WWF hardcore title twice with a combined less than 10 days, but I only remember him being billed from Boston Mass. Maybe during his Moppy phase he was from somewhere else, but I can't remember.

Saturn won a Euro Championship and was WCW TV Champ and Tag Champ twice, so it can't be him.....

    It's not Saturn, no.

I'll give it a little while longer in case more people wanna play, and then I'll throw out some more clues.

Akeem the African Dream, from the Deepest Darkest parts of Africa?

    I remember him winning a title in WCW...but that's all I got.

Nope. I'm not sure that works with any of the clues without a fairly loose interpretation, but it definitely fails on at least one however you look at it.

There's no indication that the title mentioned is the only one this person won.

Not sure if you looked back to previous challenges, but prior to your return, when clues were presented with title runs, they implied or were stated that they were the only titles won, and if said person won more than 1 title, the clues were presented with that type of information to try keep the contest as fair as possible. .

When title are used as clues, the "major titles" were reserved for the large/major promotions: WWF/E, ECW, WCW, TNA, and now AEW. If a title was for a smaller promotion like ROH, Japan, MLW etc, then is was specifically stated. (I know that Japan is a major promotion, but you get my point)

I hope this makes sense, for clarification purposes.

For what it's worth, Pen's right in this case. Take that clue literally. Thought that it was fair game because there was more information, not just 'I won x title' and nothing else to go on.

Sounds good, but I was just trying to clarify previous contests....

It wasn't Berlin was it? I am racking my brain trying to figure out wrestlers who have names that include locations. i.e The Brooklyn Brawler but he never won any title except in very small promotions.

Other champions who've held a title on two occasions for combined less than 10 days
Henry Godwinn + Phineas Godwinn, with the former WWF Tag titles)
Psychosis with the WCW CW title

    Then for the hardcore title
    Booker T
    Chris Nowinski
    K-Kwik
    Perry Saturn
    Pete Gas
    Johnny Stamboli

True, but none of those guys have a name that contains a location except Saturn as you already guessed.

Just to go back to the last guess and confirm that no, it's not Berlyn. His 'hometown' was Berlin, which definitely exists. So does Nuremburg, where he was also announced as hailing from in his Alex Wright days.

Sorry for the double post. But last guess.

Austin Aries? He is billed from Savage, Minnesota, but i checked and it is a real location, but I can see how one might think that it is not.

Ha, no. I don't believe I've made a mistake in this (I have checked it before posting) but it's fun to see you trying to account for one.

It's a good one. I'm sure when I figure it out or someone else does, I'll slap my forehead in obviousness.

I don't believe you made a mistake, but I like explaining my thought process. Soemtimes typing out my ideas helps me picture what I'm forgetting.

I've checked the wiki for WWE, Universal, World Heavyweight, IC, US, Hardcore, European, Womens, Divas, Raw Tag, SD Tag, World Tag

WCW, WCW International, US, TV, Tag

    ECW, TV, Tag

    NWA world, tag

technically it could probably be either Phineas Godwinn or Henry Godwinn.

    Phineas went by Tex Slazenger
    Henry went by Shanghai Pierce

they were both billed from Bitters Arkansas (which I do not believe is a real town)

I think it was identified above that they had two tag reigns which combined for less than 10 days.

Well, that's near enough, although as far as I'm aware Tex isn't a place. Texas is, but Tex isn't, so far as I know. Shanghai, though, most definitely is, without any caveats. And yes, it's Henry Godwinn/Shanghai Pierce - the trick is you had to keep both gimmicks in your head to get that one (though I suppose you could have also worked it out through the place in his real name and his name in Southern Justice - Mark Canterbury).

    BK, you're up.

True that...Tex is not a place. I was taking the nickname to its extreme. Canterbury is the first one of the two I had thought of, so I feel somewhat vindicated.

I was trained by two wrestlers that appeared on the WMIII under/midcard. Both of these famous wrestlers that trained me passed away this decade.
I had an extremely controversial foreign gimmick, but not one based on prejudices against my purported nationality, but rather based on my perceived prejudices against others.
I wrestled in one of the most infamous "on a pole" matches of all time.

    Thanks, Pen.

Afraid I don't have a scooby on the next one. Mainly because I've got stuck on the same 2-3 'on a pole matches' and can't seem to remember any others. If it's not Viagra, Pinata, or Judy Bagwell, I'm coming up blank.

I can confirm that it is not viagra, piņata, or Judy Bagwell on a pole. I don’t think I can give a whole lot more detail on this particular clue without giving away too much. I think I can safely say that this on a pole match premise was so bad that very few people saw it.

    No sir. Not Maryse.

I feel that my clues are probably a bit vague and obscure. I will narrow down the on a pole clue since that is what folks seem to be gravitating to.

I was trained by two hall of fame wrestlers that appeared on the WMIII under/midcard. Both of these famous wrestlers that trained me passed away in the last five years
I had an extremely controversial foreign gimmick, but not one based on prejudices against my purported nationality, but rather based on my perceived prejudices against others.
I lost an infamous "on a pole" match, that was part of a larger series of matches, in a major wrestling promotion. Ironically, very few people saw my "on a pole" match and just as few saw the larger series of matches.

This one has me perplexed. I have multiple answers that match different clues but none that get all three.

What this clue has brought home is just how many people on that card have died in the last five years.

    Great clue:
Turkey on a pole match from the end of AWA, Team Challenge Series
    Col Debeers!
Trained by Lord Littlebrook and Harley Race.

    Seriously, BK, awesome round.

1 - Born in Calgary Alberta Canada
2 - The sport runs in the family
3 - Was never champion, but famously beat the champion.

I picked a name randomly, and it was hard to find clues that were vague enough without giving it away. I'm wondering if these clues end up with a couple of answers other than the one I'm looking for, and if so, I apologize.

It's not. Owen won several titles, and didn't famously beat a champion, without winning it.

It depends on how 'famous' it has to be, but I think Lanny Poffo works with all three clues.

I'm not sure if this is any good but it'll get us going at least.

    1) My wrestling name was designed as a giant 'fuck you'.
    2) I didn't start in wrestling until I was into my 30s.
    3) I managed winners of the three 'triple crown' titles in the WWE.

    EDIT.

    Not Virgil,

Asya. She had a few names, but once she was Asya, that was a shot at Chyna. She is bigger and stronger.
