That Walk With Elias ‘documentary’ was very amusing. I thought it was going to be like other WWE docs and was pleasantly surprised they made it a farce.

Elias had a concert scheduled for Saturday evening that was cancelled. The dirt sheet sites can't seem to figure out why...

Uh, Bruce Prichard has a live show scheduled for 2:00 p.m. that day at the same venue. Best case, if they only go two hours it gives them an hour to strike everything, empty the venue, clean up re-set for Elias and open doors again.

I wonder if Bruce is going to have any heat with the office over this.

What can they even do? He doesn't work for them, and hasn't worked for them in years. I believe he was purged by Stephanie for being a Vince loyalist. And his podcast is fabulously successful, it's one of the most popular ones out there. On top of that, he does the live shows, and sells merch (I think). He doesn't really need them at this point. If anything, they've been trying to capitalize on his popularity by having him do Network shows.

Wait the concert was going to be a legitimate thing?

It's obviously going to be a segment that will further Elias' feud with Lashley.

Oh, my bad I almost forgot about that feud.

Didn't see a thread on him so I decided to post one on him.

After an apparent face turn from him on tonight's Raw, where does he go from here?

To a massive push or massive flop. He’s incredibly over and there’s very little in between. He was great tonight though and I’m full of hope- he needs to wrestle more though.

I personally think a move to smackdown might do him some good. Maybe feud with, and perhaps win the US title off of Nakamara since Nakamara doesn't seem to be doing anything with it.

Corbin could face Elias in a match where if Corbin loses, he is no longer GM and if Elias loses, he is fired (from Raw).

Elias is going to fill the spot that was for McIntyre.

With Reigns' forcing him to leave, that leaves a huge hole in the roster. Let's look athow the WWE is handling this.

    - Strowman turned face again to fill that top spot vacated by Reigns
    - Ziggler and McIntyre lose the belts earlier and will be splitting earlier to elevate McIntyre to top heel to feud with Strowman after Crown Jewel
    - Ambrose and Rollins feud moved up
    - Need a new face, so they look to the next guy who is tremendously over - Elias

I see Elias feuding with Corbin for a month or two in a holding pattern and to cement Elias as a new face. Then whn Ambrose and Rollins are feuding, eventually Ambrose will take the IC title off Rollins. Then Elias gets a shot at the IC title, and Rollins costs Ambrose the title and allows Elias to win it. Elias goes into WM with the IC title.

I would be okay with that.

The really, really remarkable thing about Elias is that he just didn't work in NXT. At all. He did nothing for me there. But on the main roster he's been perfect. Can't believe he's only, what, a month removed from getting the most heat for a sports reference I've ever heard and now he's turning face by beating Big Baz Corbz down.

In all fairness if you told me a year ago that Baron Corbin vs The Drifter was going to be a to feud I’d have laughed in your face. Both men have done well.

Seems like there was a flurry of Elias discussion a month ago and nothing since. Has he just done nothing of note since then?

No, not really, because everyone has been in a holding pattern prior to Survivor Series and now after. Next week we will probably resume your regularly scheduled programming. But on Monday he got his own entrance in the 6 man tag match and he is over as hell.

He's in a weird place at the moment. At first it seems like he was going to feud with Corbin, but Corbin is in a feud with Braun. Elias seems like he's going to be feuding with Lashley now (They pretty much were towards Summerslam). The problem is I don't see Elias going over Lashley, especially with Lashley turning heel recently.

Honestly, Elias should move to Smackdown and take the US title off Nakamara.

I keep hearing he'll get a big spot at Wrestlemania, but it's odd, because when you don't watch the show it doesn't feel like there's this big sense of momentum building. Maybe it's the kind of thing that you need to be watching but traditionally when someone was getting hot and moving on up, you could pretty much feel it, but that doesn't seem to be there in the general chat.

So yeah, if someone can fill me in with his trajectory, what he's been doing, why people think he's going to have a big year and how he's supposed to have gotten really over, I'd appreciate a short summary.

Well, he won his feud with Bobby Lashley, defeating him twice and didn't take an L to him in a one on one match so that alone makes me believe they're high on him right now, which is cool. At the moment, he is involved in a feud with Corbin, I guess, though he did take an L to him a week or 2 ago.

Yet the WWE had him lose to Corbin last night....go figure.

Looks like Elias is going back to being heel. That face turn was pretty short lived.

Yeah, what's all that about? I hear good reports about him but then it seems like they don't really have a plan for the guy.

In fairness he does seem like he's in a spot where a loss won't hurt him.

I'm going to go in the opposite direction here and say Elias wins this one. Reigns since returning hasn't had a direction and WWE haven't been averse to giving him a loss, so why not have Elias get a feather in his cap?

Ideally neither would be facing each other fresh off being moved to Smackdown, when they could both do with establishing themselves there against Smackdown 'originals'* rather than against each other. But I can see Elias winning this one.

(*Something I kind of wish they played into a bit more is the concept of someone having to adapt to the show they've been drafted on. I don't think it necessarily needs to be much, but having Styles go to Raw and just immediately be in title contention when he 'only' has his run on Smackdown to have established himself as a main eventer. So why not frame it that he has to show he can hang on Raw, the show that swept Smackdown at the last Survivor Series? Why does he just get given an opportunity to be in title contention without first showing he can beat, oh I don't know, Dolph Ziggler or someone that's been on Raw for a while?)

I just want Elias to be treated more than just glorified enhancement talent. The guy clearly gets how to connect with the audience, gets himself over, has the crowd in the palm of his hand each and every week, and has charisma to boot.

So why does the WWE not push this guy and give him some title runs? He is home grown, and has been on the roster since 2014, and the main roster for almost 2 years. What is the hold up on him?

Impressive feat for an 8 year old!

I've come to like Elias but I wonder if this might not be a good role for him. Sure, he should probably get a few more wins than he does, but as an annoying heel getting heat and putting guys over might be a good thing for him to do.

I was liking his face run, until they turned him heel with no explanation. He got a win over Jeff Jarrett at least?

I don't see him beating Reigns at all. The best we are going to get is Reigns winning by DQ after Elias and Shane beat him down.

Good prediction - lost about as decisively as you possibly can, in the end.

I think that tells us where they see Elias. Solid midcard, probably not ever going to do much better than being a character also-ran kinda player.

It wasn't that good of a prediction. Idk why anyone thought they'd put Elias over Roman...
