There was a reading challenges thread on the old board but I figure a more general Goodreads thread might be more likely to attract attention.

Anyone use this? Found out anything interesting, or got any good recommendations, as a result?

I knocked off another reading challenge this year. Set the bar a little lower and read a few longer books this time around, so it was just thirty for the year rather than the more ambitious 50 for 2017. But have managed to clear it with a month to spare which I'm happy with. There's part of me that wants to really get the hammer down in December and see if I can push it through so that I get to 100 books over the two years, but that'd mean really burning some rubber in December. So I'll probably ignore it and just chill out - not least because I'm currently reading another Victorian two-decker epic that will take me another week at least.
