Rob celebrates the win while Clive struggles to get up on the outside.

Some solid stats from Clive, he almost managed to score 18th in every category (Views he was 19th), but Rob is tough competition for any writer, and he went on a tear earlier this year on the lead up to his retirement. So Rob going through to the quarterfinals seemed almost inevitable, Clive still put up a decent fight however.

And on the other side of the bracket we have KleckMania taking on the fan voted writer of the year, PrimeTime. Kleck would beat Type in the opening match in surprisingly vicious fashion, while his opponent Prime took down TheLAW with his signature piledriver. Will Kleck be able to pull off the relative upset here or will the Primedriver have another victim.

Fun Fact: These two are the only writers to have won two writer of the year awards, Prime winning 2012 and 2018, and Kleck going back to back with 2014 and 2015.

    Winner: PrimeTime

Kleck kicks out but it is just too late. Primeís music hits and the two are just sat in the ring catching their breath. Prime gets to his feet and celebrates, Kleck is sat looking dejected, Prime heads over and offers him a hand up, Kleck gets to his feet and the two shake hands. Kleck leaves the ring as Prime continues to celebrate.

A bit rough to see one of the top eight go out early, but that is the curse of random placement. Kleck had some great stats across the board, even posting in the majority of months (only ones missed were Sept, June and May, though that last one is understandable) , Both writers offered quality work throughout the year and there is no shame in losing this one.

And that is all for today, with those two matches out the way, we have the Vader bracket finals locked in as we will see TripleR taking on PrimeTime. But for now it is time I bid you all a fond farewell, Iíll be back soon with the next bracket, and maybe another column before that, but either way I hope you have enjoyed todayís column and I will see you next time.

Can't complain with my showing based on those stats. I intend on going back to Full Sail to improve for next time though!

Bit of a shocker, like you said though, luck of the draw counts.

Just a suggestion for these, but maybe you could post at the start of each column a copy & paste type paragraph explaining how each person's final score is calculated?
